SK Broadband, South Korea’s pioneer in starting ADSL broadband and IPTV video services, is trying to take back its leadership mantle it relinquished to rival KT with the recent debut of commercial IPTV. SK Broadband, the country’s No. 2 fixed-line service operator, was snapped up by SK Telecom last year.

Bosnia & Herzegovina (B&H) will see the launch of an IPTV service in the second quarter of this year. Known as Moja TV (‘My TV’), it will be operated by BH Telecom, the country’s leading telco company, and employ BeeSmart middleware supplied by the Slovenian systems integrator Smart Com.

The country’s leading telecom player Bharti Airtel Monday launched a service that allows subscribers to watch television programmes using the company’s Internet broadband facility in Delhi and the National Capital Region. The company plans to launch the service in eight cities including the metros, giving priority to Mumbai and Bangalore.
