ATSC 3D planning team to meet first time next month to discuss viability of terrestrial broadcast standards. According to today’s Warren Communications News, Best Buy’s CinemaNow video download service will add 3D content as chain makes agreements with movie studios. Panasonic has finally activated the Skype video application on all of its 2010 VIERA Cast-enabled TVs (including the VT25, VT20, G25, and G20 Series), enabling easy video calls for consumers. Royal Caribbean is jumping aboard the 3D movie craze, announcing today that it’ll add 3D screens to several ships. NewSight Japan demonstrated a new 70-inch glasses-free 3DTV at Japan Finetech last week. The display is said to use “parallax-barrier technology” that renders viewable 3D images without glasses. |
